Memo - New Laws of the Sports of Bowls (Issued on 22/11/22)

On August 7 World Bowls has endorsed a new set of the Laws of the Sport of Bowls, the Crystal Mark Fourth Edition.    In Hong Kong the new laws will take effect from December 1, 2022.

While there are not a lot of changes in the new law, some of them may still have impact to our games:

Memo - Facemask is a must at indoor greens (Issued on 31/8/22)

In view of the latest surge in COVID-19 infections in Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Lawn Bowls Association will tighten the measures to help the community to fight against the pandemic.  From this Saturday, September 3, bowlers participating in HKLBA activities at all indoor greens will be required to wear protective facemask.  We also strongly recommend players to wear protective facemask when participating in our activities at outdoor venues.

While it is not a Government regulation, we believe it is of the best interest to our players to better protect themselves during games.

Please note that some venues have also introduced other measures such as performing the Rapid Antigen Test before entering the facility, you may need to observe house rules or you will be deny entry to those venues.

You will also need to observe the social distancing rules and related precautionary measures during games. Please visit the HKLBA website for details: https://bit.ly/3ag1bK2.
